Daily Nigerian gathered that early this year the commissioner declared a vast plot of land in Sharada (behind Kano School of Management Studies) unclaimed.

Unknown to the commissioner that the plot belonged to Governor Ganduje, and was allocated him during the regime of military Governor Idris Garba, he allegedly sold it to a Lebanese at the cost of over N100million.

Sources in the ministry of Lands told Daily Nigerian that the latest scams by the commissioner were selling plot of land belonging to retired Lt. General Jerry Useni and another plot belonging to business mogul, Aminu Dantata, on Western Bypass, Kano.

The embattled Land commissioner was arraigned last week alongside his permanent secretary, Mahmud Bari and a director for selling an allocated plot of land (belonging to Jerry Useni) to one Baba Sharu at the cost of N5 million sometimes in April 2016.

The offence is punishable under section 315 of criminal panel code.

The prosecuting counsel, Rabi Waya, also accused the suspects of breach of trust in their capacity as public servants, and in the process committed an offence punishable under section 97 of the panel code.

The suspects who were earlier investigated by the State anti corruption agency before their arraignment before Justice Nasiru Saminu of Court 22 on three count charges.
